Establishing a Baseline

doctor-patient relationship

We often receive reports from our subscribers about their improvement in general mood and wellbeing. Clearly, Swiss Element 365 is achieving its objectives. We are very happy to receive these comments, and encourage you to keep sharing your experiences.

For those of you who would like to measure the effects that Swiss Element 365 may have on your cardiovascular health, we recommend that you talk to your doctor about a few simple tests to establish a baseline before you start taking Swiss Element 365. You may then wish to repeat these tests after at least eight weeks of uninterrupted daily intake, which would give you specific, measurable results.

During clinical studies, when researchers assess a dose-response relationship between flavanol-rich cocoa and cardiovascular health, they typically perform measurements to collect and analyze data for blood pressure, flow-mediated vascular dilation (FMD), insulin resistance and lipid profiles.

Following is list of some of the tests that have been used:

Blood pressure
Total cholesterol
HDL cholesterol
LDL cholesterol
C-reactive protein
Flow-mediated vascular dilation (FMD)
Fasting glucose
Fasting insulin
Serum isoprostane
Insulin sensitivity/resistance indices

Your doctor will advise you what is best for you.
